My Teaching Philosophy
Build Confidence First
Many students come to 5th grade with "math anxiety." I believe the first step in teaching math is building a safe environment where students aren't afraid to make mistakes. Confidence is the foundation of learning.
Make it Concrete
Math shouldn't be abstract. We use manipulatives, real-world examples, and visual models to make sure students truly understand the "why" behind the "how."
Challenge & Support
Every student learns at a different pace. My resources are designed to provide support for those who need it and "brain stretches" for those ready to go further.
